Ordering and Payment
All the yellow buttons (Add to Basket, View Basket etc.) are ‘powered’ by PayPal.
If you don’t have a PayPal account, that’s no problem: the checkout page will let you pay (as a PayPal ‘Guest’) with a credit or debit card. You can also pay in currencies other than Pounds Sterling (but if delivery is to outside the UK, see below).
Regardless of the payment method, there is no fee payable, whether for goods or for a Gift Certificate (ie a Gift Voucher).
Gift Certificates (Gift Vouchers) are paid for separately from everything else.
Postage & Packaging
If you are buying only Tuition and/or a Gift Certificate (ie a Gift Voucher), there is no postage and therefore no P&P.
For all other items, P&P to a single UK address is a flat rate of £3.95 per dispatch.
For delivery outside the UK, please enquire if any additional charges apply: if so I will send you a separate PayPal invoice for the extra P&P charges.
Dispatch & Delivery
Orders are usually dispatched within 7 days of receipt of payment.
Delivery to UK addresses is by Royal Mail 2nd Class or Parcelforce 48.
Gift Card
For Tuition Workshop with Gift Card, a gift card (and postage) is included in the price.
For other items which you intend to send as a gift, you may wish to send a gift card. At Checkout, select Gift Options: The details you enter there I will write in the gift card which will be sent along with the goods. Chose from those available on the Cards page.
Returns
If you change your mind, you may return purchases for refund or exchange, provided returned items are unused and arrive in good condition. You are responsible for return postage. Refunds are subject to a deduction of 10% to cover transaction charges.
This is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights.
Hand-spun Yarns: Quantities and Colours
For hand-spun DoubleKnit [DK], one 75g skein is usually sufficient for a simple Beanie-style hat. Two skeins will be sufficient for a ladies’ light scarf.
It’s impossible to accurately represent on a website the subtle colours of natural wools and dyes, and of course impossible to convey the lustre, handle and other characteristics. If you’ve any queries, please contact me.
Care Instructions
Both yarns and knitwear should be washed gently in luke-warm water using soft soap flakes or a liquid soap for delicates. Do not rub! To dry, squeeze gently and/or spin - do not wring. Lay flat in a warm airy place, gently pull into shape.
